I haven't seen her outside the two time frames mentioned, but I do have a couple things to share:
ReplyDelete- You have to be connected to the internet for the golden dolphin to show up; she doesn't appear if you're playing in offline mode. She seems to show up when the game updates your data, so if it's the right time frame try going to upload data in the options or wait a few minutes and it should happen automatically.
- Fun facts: Originally (in 2012) the golden dolphin's appearances worked differently; she just showed up every five hours. There was a gold shell (next to the Dr. Octopus shell) that you could tap to see how long until her next appearance, and also an option to pay 100 coins to take 10 minutes off the timer. The thing was, there was no limit to how many times you could pay to speed up the gold dolphin appearance, so you could just pay 3000 coins to make her reappear immediately after you just played. Since you could easily earn well over 3000 coins per play, this meant you could basically just keep calling her and playing over and over as long as you wanted to accumulate coins, XP, and gems. This is likely why she was removed for a few months starting around December 2012, and why the format changed to the current twice a day schedule when she returned. The line about not being too greedy is probably also a reference to that.

What I like about the gold dolphin is that if you are not greedy and only focus on collecting one particular item throughout the game (either coins, XP or gems), the value of the item will get better and better.
